Personal Statement

My current work ranges from small containers into larger vessels, it is the ideology of hiding or obscuring the truth from everybody around that I explore within my work. These vessels are designed to take an object, a memory a private part of someone’s being and enclose it within these strong forms. Protecting the secret within. These objects allow the owner to have a visual and physical link to their precious item, without having to explain what or why an object is precious to them. The container acts as a screen obscuring the reality of what may in fact be concealed within.

Currently working as a Crafts person in residence at the Old Museum Trust, Rural Life Centre, Tilford, Surrey.

The object of the charity is to provide education to the public on agricultural and rural craft of the area.

It aims to educate and entertain the general public and many school children on day visits.
